We are a European Research Council (ERC)-supported research lab working in the School of Natural Sciences at the National University of Ireland Galway.

We are also closely affiliated with the School of Engineering at The University of Glasgow, where we are supported by the EPSRC to lead the Transforming Waste Project.

Please follow our blog, and learn more about our interests and activities, which are in these areas:

An ‘EcoSystems Biology‘ approach is required to understand the thermodynamics, ecology and ecophysiology of complex microbial communities.

We work closely with our colleagues in NUI Galway, the University of Glasgow and elsewhere, to apply the culture microbiology, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and mathematical & ecological modelling required.
