Cold Carbon Catabolism of Microbial Communities Underpinning a Sustainable Bioenergy and Biorefining Economy
The 3C:BIOTECH project (2011-2016) is supported by a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant hosted at NUI Galway. The project is focused on comprehensively understanding complex, anaerobic microbial consortia found in environmental technologies used for biorefining. The objective is to use this information to manipulate, and better manage, microbial communities for more efficient conversion of biomass to bioenergy.
