Invitation for Expressions of Interest to apply to Horizons 2020 (The European Commission) for a Marie Skłodowska- Curie EUROPEAN FELLOWSHIP to be hosted at Galway, Ireland
Microbial Ecology & Ecophysiology of engineered biotechnologies (with a focus on Metagenomics; Metatranscriptomics; & Metaproteomics)
We wish to sponsor an applicant for a Marie Skłodowska- Curie European Fellowship.
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a highly competitive record, who would prepare an application with us for a European Fellowship, with a view to joining our research at the National University of Ireland Galway.
We are seeking a researcher with experience and expertise in some/all of:
- molecular biology ( qPCR assay development; metagenomics ; transcriptomics or meta proteomics )
- microbial ecophysiology of biofilms
- microbial biotechnology (e.g. waste treatment) and chemical engineering
- integration of metagenomics or metatranscriptomics, with reaction rates in metabolic pathways identified through metabolomics.
Expressions of Interest:
Interested individuals are invited to submit an expression of interest (CV & cover letter), and to discuss specific research ideas, by e-mail before 18thJuly 2014 to: email@example.com with the subject line: ‘ Marie Curie EoI’
We will then select one applicant to work with on submitting a proposal for a Marie Skłodowska- Curie EUROPEAN FELLOWSHIP
If funded, the applicant’s research would be hosted by Drs Gavin Collins, Cindy Smith and Florence Abram in the School of Natural Sciences at the National University of Ireland Galway ( ), and with opportunities to work alongside colleagues in Civil & Environmental Engineering.
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships:
This is an invitation to collaborate on an application for fellowship funding – it is not a job advertisement.
